Since most of the material used in herbal teas is mostly herbs and not roots or barks, Infusion is probably the most common method for brewing herbal tea. An Infusion is performed by pouring boiling water over your herbal blend and letting it steep for a few minutes.
Fill your tea kettle/pot with water and place it on the stove over high heat.
While your water is heating up, pick out the herbs you would like to add to your mix. A good rule of thumb is to only have 2 tsp of herb per cup of water, but feel to adjust the amount to your taste. Place the herbal mix into the infuser and then place the infuser into your tea cup.
Once your water has reached a steady boil, pour the water over your herbs, through an infuser and into the tea cup.
Your tea is now finished! Add a dash of honey or drink it plain and enjoy the benefits that herbal teas bring.
